Make money testing websites?
Yes! I’ve actually done it. There are a few companies that you can go through to make money just by testing websites. You may also want to check out my previous post on other ways to survive until you are ready to thrive financially.
How much will I make?
You probably won’t be able to quit your day job, but it’s a great way to make some extra money on the side. Most tests pay $8-15, but I have done quick 5 minute tests for $3 each.
Every little bit adds up and if you’re struggling or need a little extra shopping money- or even Christmas money, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.
Can I test websites while my kids are home?
Remember, you do need to be professional. If your kids are home, you will need to make sure they are quiet and cannot be heard during your test.
Some tests can be done from your computer and others from your phone. If your kids are still having naps, this might be the perfect time to make a little extra cash!
Websites:
WhatUsersDo: Pays $8 per test through Paypal and each test usually takes 20 minutes to complete. Use this referral code if you apply: 137762. Jobs go fast, so if you receive an email letting you know about a new test, try to complete it right away.
User Testing: Once you are approved you can make $10 per website test and $15 per mobile testing, when you qualify for mobile testing. They will sometimes send emails with available tests, but I would recommend logging on often. They will have you do a quick screener to see if you qualify for the test, which usually consists of 3-5 questions. If you qualify, you move on to the test.
You Eye: Some of the tests on this site actually uses your camera to capture video of you testing the website. It tracks your eyes during the test. Or other tests are on your mobile phone.
Analysia: They pay $10 for each 15 minute test. You will be paid through Paypal.
Userfeel: Currently not taking new testers, but get on the list if you’re interested. They pay $10 per test.
Userlytics: This is another website you can use to test websites. I haven’t had much luck getting many tests, but it might be worth trying out.
Do you own a blog, website, or app?
If so, you may want to check out Peek by User Testing. They will actually do a quick 5 minute test of your site for FREE. Unfortunately, Peek is no longer offering free website tests.
