Hey everyone! I’ve teamed up with some other fantastic bloggers and small-business owners to bring you an AMAZING giveaway this month. A giveaway that is super perfect with Thanksgiving coming up because who couldn’t use extra tools in the kitchen? Want to win a Kitchenaid mixer and other cooking goodies? Then read on!
Before we get to the entering, I want to mention that Angie at My So-Called Chaos puts these great giveaways on every month. She also likes to make sure that entrants get to know the sponsors (aka myself and other wonderful people) a little bit too. To do this, she asks each of us to answer a question each month, and this month went right along with the theme. She asked us what our favorite Fall recipe is and why, so here’s what we had to say:
What is your favorite Fall recipe?
“Drunken Pumpkin, and you know why!” – MelanieGrace from Growing Up Geeky
Note: Angie DOES know why, and it’s also her favorite Fall recipe! She and Melanie Grace used to make this recipe together when they were younger, and they have so many good memories of it. Drunken Pumpkin is a spiked cider that’s served out of a pumpkin! FUN!
“In Fall, I am *all* about apples. I’m lucky to live in a state known for growing apples (and grapes, for the obligatory glass of wine to drink while baking). And as a gal of German descent (in a state with a Bavarian tourist town, Leavenworth) I pretty much HAVE to make German Apple Pancakes every Fall. For extra naughtiness, I recommend drizzling a bit of caramel sauce over it.” – Beth from Printcess
“I have two favorites, pumpkin lattes and pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie reminds me of my childhood, it was always the symbol of fall in our home. For the last few years, I have been making our traditional pumpkin pie turned dairy-free – Alexis from Chemistry Cachet
“When it cools off outside, I like my food to make me feel warm – that’s why I love these simple gingerbread cookies from A Butterful Mind. They have just the right amount of ginger-spiciness and they are so, so delicious.” – Kimi from The Blog Dept
“Our favorite fall recipe is Sara’s Herb & Mushroom Stuffing. It goes SO well with herb roasted chicken, pork, and of course turkey. It’s full of flavor and herbs that make it SO good!” – Sara & Hannah from The Perfect Storm
“Prime Rib – We only have it twice a year, so it’s something we look forward to during the holidays.” – Darcey from Foodie & Wine
“Fall is my Favorite Time of the year!! When I think of fall recipes I think of Thanksgiving and all the trimmings!! I especially love Corn Bread Stuffing and Pecan Pie, as this is the only time I get these two dishes! (Because my family are not fans of either.)” – Elaine from Cookin’ and Craftin’
“Fall is my favorite time of the year for eating so it’s hard to pick. While I love all the sweet, traditional flavors of the season like pumpkin cheesecake, this year I have been all about the savory side of fall flavors. This Pumpkin Penne with Peas, Parmesan, and Sage is a favorite right now because its comforting, creamy, and delicious.” – Jenna from Seasoned Sprinkles
“My favorite fall recipe would have to be vegan cinnamon rolls. I top it with dairy free cream cheese frosting and I’m in heaven. They are so delicious and make me feel all warm inside and are a hit in my house!” – Christina from XOXO Christina
“As much as I love pumpkin-everything, lately my taste buds have gone crazy for caramel apple sweets. I recently made Caramel Apple Crescent Rolls that were TO DIE FOR! Don’t believe me? Get the recipe HERE!” – Jessica from Living La Vida Holoka
“I’m a sucker for fall food and fall-inspired recipes. Squash, onions, tomatoes, potatoes and apples galore fill my fridge this time of year. One of my favourite fall recipes is a fresh apple crisp, made with this recipe. We love to go apple picking with our daughter, and knowing we picked the apples ourselves makes this crisp even tastier!” – Mar from T.O. and Fro
“My favorite fall recipe is a simple and delicious homemade apple crisp. My boys and I spend time choosing our apples at an apple farm (two different types make the best filling) and make the crisp topping together as a family.
Simple recipe:
- Peel, core, and slice 6 apples (two types for the best filling).
- Toss apples in 1 tablespoon of flour, 1/2 cup of of sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon to coat evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of quick oats, 1/4 tsp each of baking powder and soda.
- Using a microplaner or cheese grater, grate a cold stick of butter onto the mixture, and using your hands, mix in quickly so it resembles crumbly sand.
- Sprinkle evenly over the apples and bake at 350 for 40 – 50 minutes, until browning and bubbly.
- Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream!”
– Candace from Luxe with Kids
“My favorite drink for the fall season is a warm cup of chai latte; it’s spiciness and exotic fragrance is perfect to warm you up as the weather gets colder. All you need is Tazo Chai Classic Latte (available in a carton box at any grocery store) and milk. Mix equal parts of Tazo Chai with milk, heat on the stove or microwave and enjoy. It’s simple, easy and oh so delicious.” – Jackie from Shop Hair Dryers
“My favorite fall recipe is a little boozy! When it’s cold and you’re indoors, what’s better than a little sip of whiskey? I make this Vanilla Bean Infused Bourbon that is so simple and delicious! It makes for a beautiful cocktail.” – Brittany from Pop Shop America
“Apples are the fall harvest stars of the Pacific NW, and my family’s current favorite fall recipe is this one for The Best Apple Cinnamon Streusel Muffins. They’re packed with apples, carrots, and zucchini, and the streusel crunch is the perfect sweet topping! We make a LOT of batches because they disappear quickly!” – Marlynn from Urban Bliss Life
“My whole family loves my roast chicken recipe. It’s THE BEST on a Sunday afternoon.” – Cris from Kiss My Tulle

“I love soups of all kinds during the fall. They are so warm and comforting on a gray, rainy, or cold day. My family loves my Delicious Potato Soup the best!” – Ali from Home Crafts by Ali
“My favorite Fall recipe is Butter & Herb Roasted Turkey because Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. The smell of this simple turkey recipe roasting in the oven while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on television with my family bring back so many wonderful memories from my childhood and have carried over to my own family throughout the years as well.” – Carrie from Carrie’s Experimental Kitchen
“My family LOVES making apple cider in the fall. Making apple cider from scratch takes all day but the smell is amazing. Our recipe is sugar free and I’d love to share it with you.” – Brittany from Grace Love Life
“I love pumpkin pie! Mainly because it reminds me of Thanksgiving and spending time with my family! For a quick healthy snack I also like to make Almond Butter Protein Bites.” – Laurie from Learning 2 Bloom
“We moved to Maryland several years ago and found the cutest, family-owned orchard nearby. We have picked apples there every September since moving. My kids look forward to spending a Fall morning picking apples. We always come home and they help me wash the apples and then we peel & cut them to make our favorite Fall recipe; which is apple crisp (with a double streusel topping) and a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.” – Jessica of Together as a Family

My favorite fall recipe is a squash casserole!!! So simple and easy to make! It calls for hamburger meat, chopped squash and diced onion and garlic! And add a can of rotel tomatoes and cheddar cheese – mix all together and bake for thirty minutes on 375 degrees! Really tasty and even the kids love it!!

That sounds good and easy! I’ll have to try it 🙂
