My Sweatcoin Review
What is Sweatcoin?
Sweatcoin is a FREE app that pays you for walking and promotes physical fitness. What better motivation to work out than to earn financial incentives? 🙂
Disclaimer: I have no affiliation to Sweatcoin. This review is based on my experience of using Sweatcoin and also information from their app. I was not paid for this review, although I will receive a few Sweatcoin as a referral bonus when you sign up through my link: https://sweatcoin.org/i/laurie358728
Why should I join Sweatcoin?
Sweatcoin is a great way to stay active while earning money. It’s free and easy to use. Why not join Sweatcoin?
How does it work?
- Join Sweatcoin through my link: https://sweatcoin.org/i/laurie358728
- Track your steps through your phone when walking outside. (they are working on verifying indoor steps.) Sweatcoin tracks steps through GPS location and their verification algorithm.
- Keep building up your Sweatcoins- they don’t expire!
- Purchase items through the app’s marketplace. Paypal and Amazon vouchers are featured regularly so keep checking back.
Is Sweatcoin completely free?
Yes! You do not pay for Sweatcoin. You can even upgrade your Sweatcoin membership levels by paying with the Sweatcoin that you earn- not cash.
How do I earn Sweatcoin?
Walking:
1,000 steps equals .95 Sweatcoins. Keep walking to earn Sweatcoin.
Daily Rewards:
You can also participate in daily rewards to earn Sweatcoins. Daily rewards can be tasks like watching specific ads through the app or other small tasks. So far, I’ve earned 1 Sweatcoin every 15 hours through daily rewards.
Marathon Offers:
Marathon offers are long term goals that you work towards. They take a little longer to earn, but are a great way to motivate yourself long-term.
Can I send Sweatcoins to a friend?
Yes! You can transfer your own Sweatcoins to other users. Go to your Wallet and click “send to friend”. Make sure that you have their correct username, email or phone number to transfer the Sweatcoin.
Can I connect my fitness tracker to Sweatcoin?
You cannot connect your fitness tracker to Sweatcoin yet. Although, they are working with a few major brands to integrate Sweatcoin into their products.
How does Sweatcoin make money?
Sweatcoin makes money off of the brands they work with in the marketplace. They are continually trying to expand their partnerships.
Is Sweatcoin Cryptocurrency?
No, it is not on the exchange and is not a cryptocurrency. Although, their long term goal is to make it a currency listed on the exchanges. If you want more information on Cryptocurrency, check out my Bitcoin basics post here: Cryptocurrency.
What are the cons of using Sweatcoin?
The main con that I can see to Sweatcoin is that they don’t currently track indoor steps. This means that any indoor gym time won’t count. Although, they are working on this so I would recommend signing up now. Start building your steps and then when they do count indoor steps (if you’re a gym goer) you can really build them up once they’re able to verify indoor steps.
This doesn’t seem like an app that will make you rich, but it seems like a fun way to earn rewards with little effort. It’s more of an app that you will probably set and forget. Or even log in sometimes to get your daily reward and let your Sweatcoin add up.
What are the Pros of using Sweatcoin?
This app is a fun way to stay motivated to walk and be outside. If you’re anything like me, you like to collect as many points or Sweatcoins as you can. For some reason, I feel like it’s a competition and it really motivates me.
I do have to say that there seems to be potential with the app. Especially, if it makes it to the cryptocurrency exchange. It would be fun to have some Sweatcoin built up before that happens.
What do you think?
So, are you going to join? Are you a member already? What doyou think about Sweatcoin and it’s potential?

Hello Laurie, do they also offer an affiliate program? And thanks for the in-depth explanation.
