Start THIS School Year Prepared and Organized

I like to have my checklist up on the fridge early on in the summer. This way I can start scheduling appointments and working in the fun parts of summer around the essentials. It also keeps all of the important information I need in one place.

Survive the kids going back to school

Back to School Tips

Planning early helps guarantee that everything will get done with less stress. It also allows us to get into any appointments, which especially helps when those unplanned events come up.

This is an example of my Back to School checklist that helped me stay organized last summer. Of course you can figure out how to best use it to benefit your family. It really helped to have it visible so that the whole family knows what’s going on at a glance.

This is the easiest way for me to track needed school supplies, school uniforms or clothes needed and even doctor and dentist appointments that need to be made over the summer.

I can’t stress enough the importance of preparing early and staying organized.

How to get back into a routine

The checklist above is most helpful for me. This version is the most helpful to remind me of what we need to work on all summer, and to remember upcoming dates and events and everything else we need to organize to prepare for school.

I did also include another checklist that is more of a timeline to keep track of what you need to do and when throughout the summer. Some people like this better. So, figure out what works for you.
