Best Tips for Spring Break at Disneyland

Although Disneyland is magical throughout the entire year, this spring is bound to be one of the best ones yet! With the return of the beloved Food & Wine Festival and the premier of Pixar Fest just around the corner, you won’t want to miss out on any of the fun. Because of this, I’ve partnered with my friends at Get Away Today to give you the best tips for your Spring Break vacation.

If you’re planning a Disneyland vacation soon, make sure you book with Get Away Today. Not only do they provide discount Disneyland tickets, but they also have incredible hotel specials as well. Take advantage of exclusive amenities and free-night offers still available for this Spring Break. Plus, Get Away Today not only guarantees the best price, but the best service as well. Keep reading for an exclusive promo code for Learning2Bloom readers to use on your next Disneyland vacation.

  1. Utilize MaxPass

Disneyland has become one of the most popular vacation spots and it’s no surprise as to why. However, you can still have a magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth while being able to navigate the crowds. This is why I would recommend utilizing Disney’s new feature, MaxPass. MaxPass allows you to reserve FastPasses directly from your phone, so you aren’t running around the park trying to get as many as you can. Plus, MaxPass also includes Disney’s PhotoPass for the entire day that you purchase it. This means that you can download both the hilarious ride photos and the professional pictures taken throughout the park to help you remember your incredible Disney day. The only catch to MaxPass is that it’s $10 per-person, per-day, which could start to get expensive if you have a large family or use it every day of your stay. Because of this, I would recommend only using it on days that feel crowded or days that you simply want to treat yourself. Either way, MaxPass is well worth the cost!

  1. Don’t forget about FastPass

Even if you decide not to use MaxPass, you’ll still want to utilize FastPass. You’ll have to physically walk to each FastPass kiosk (instead of reserving them on your phone), but it’s definitely worth it. Always having an active FastPass ticket means you’ll spend less time waiting in line and more time riding your favorite attractions. Some of the most popular ones to grab in DCA include Radiator Springs Racers, Toy Story Midway Mania and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!. For Disneyland, you’ll want to try and grab Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Bonus tip: if you have any little ones who aren’t tall enough to ride, combine FastPass with Rider Swap and you’ll feel like you’ve barely waited in any lines.

  1. Indulge at the Food & Wine Festival

From now until April 12th, you can enjoy some of the most delicious food and beverages inspired by California culture. This cherished festival has made its return to Disney California Adventure and will display sixteen different kiosks that host a variety of fares. Some of the most exciting menu items are Jalapeno Popper Mac & Cheese, Citrus-Brined Pork Roast to Fried Artichoke Carbonara. The best part? You can pair these delectable food options with desserts and drinks! The Food & Wine Festival also features activities for kids at the Jr. Chef area in Hollywood Land. Here, kids ages 3-11 can help Chef Goofy with one of his famous recipes. Their hands might get a little messy, but they’ll be able to eat their baked treat made with Disney magic.

  1. Take advantage of all the shows

Spring Break may be a busy time at Disneyland, but you’re still going to have a blast. One way to avoid the crowds, and get out of the heat, is by enjoying all the amazing entertainment at the Disneyland Resort. Be dazzled by Frozen – Live at the Hyperion in Disney California Adventure, a Broadway-caliber show that is always popular. Then, watch adventure and music unfold in Mickey and the Magical Map at Disneyland. The show is a long-running favorite for guests. Those are only two of the magical shows to experience, Fantasmic!, Jedi Training and World of Color being a few others.

  1. Celebrate at Pixar Fest

Starting on April 13th, guests will be able to experience Pixar Fest. Pixar Fest is a celebration of friendship and light, featuring all of your favorite Pixar characters. Not only will you be able to enjoy new décor throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, but you can indulge in limited-time treats, exclusive merchandise and dazzling entertainment. Catch the return of the Pixar Play Parade in Disneyland Park and Paint the Night Parade premiering in California Adventure. While you’re there, be sure to treat yourself to one of the incredible food options available throughout the celebration. Try a Fried Bologna Sandwich, Mike Wazowski Sourdough Bread and even a Cocoa Churro inspired by Pixar’s newest hit, Coco. To end your Pixar filled day, make sure you stop and see the newest nighttime show, “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular.” This show will have pyrotechnics, projections and memorable music to celebrate the Disney-Pixar movies we all know and love.

  1. Enjoy Magic Morning

If you have a 3-day or longer Disneyland ticket, you qualify for Magic Morning. Magic Morning gets you into Disneyland Park an hour earlier than the general public on select days (typically Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays). This is valuable time that you don’t want to waste during Spring Break! Even on non-Magic Morning days, you’ll still want to get to the park as early as possible. This tends to be the least busy time of the day, meaning you can get the most done. And, if you’re staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, you’ll get to take advantage of Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour, an hour early entry into Disney California Adventure. This perk is exclusive to Disney Resort Hotel guests and currently the only way to get into California Adventure early.

As you can see, there is so much in store at the Disneyland Resort this spring. So what are you waiting for? Visit getawaytoday.com or call 855-GET-AWAY to book your Spring Break vacation today. Plus, mention promo code 2Bloom to get an additional $10 off your hotel and tickets vacation package. Let them know that Learning2Bloom sent you and don’t forget to use these Spring Break tips!
